SHEET METAL
CNC TURRET PUNCH
American Metal Specialties is your choice for a sheet metal job shop in Portland and has provided a sheet metal punching service for over 30 years. Rapid processing speeds and lower operating costs can make CNC punching a cheaper profiling solution than laser cutting, depending on part complexity and batch size.
In addition, with over 30 years of operation, American Metal Specialties has a vast list of generic and custom tooling. With this tooling our turret punches can generate simple formed features such as dimples, louvers to logo indentations and knockouts, thus avoiding the need for additional operations.
Our CNC punching machines are capable of punching materials in thicknesses from 11ga stainless/steel to .188 aluminum, and blank sizes up to 48”x72”. American Metal Specialties typically punches materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, cold rolled steel, brass, and copper as well as some more exotic types of sheet metal and plastics. Using computer-assisted part nesting allows maximum material utilization.
