Building Maintenance Technician

American Metal Specialties has an exciting new position open for the right person who enjoys repair and maintenance work.  The successful candidate would perform building maintenance at 2-5 local plant locations and coordinate work with contractors when necessary.

MAINTENANCE JOB DUTIES:
*Travel between 2-5 local locations.
*Perform building facility maintenance including minor plumbing and electrical, maintenance and repair of lights and minor building repairs.
*Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance work performed.
*Review maintenance file.
*Oversee work by various outside contractors hired to do building repairs
*Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:
*Minimum of 5 yrs. experience in building maintenance or general construction background
*Mechanically inclined
*Valid driver’s license
*Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with operators, management, suppliers and contractors
*Computer competent with use of Microsoft Office suite
*Experience reading manuals, engineering drawings and interpret specifications
*Overtime may be necessary to respond to urgent maintenance requests.
