Shipping Lead – day shift
American Metal Specialties is actively seeking a Shipping Lead.
Day shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
$20- 21 hr., ++Monthly bonus program is paid when company-wide monthly sales goal is reached.
1. PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To package and ship parts to customers on a timely basis and receive in raw materials.
2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Package and prepare sub-C parts for delivery.
Package and label parts for local delivery and shipment using UPS WorldShip, FedEx software
Assists in loading and unloading truck when necessary.
Receives and verifies UPS/FedEx Raw Materials using purchase orders and packing slips
Ability to direct the work of other employees
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, management, customers, and delivery personnel.
3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Performs other duties as assigned. May be asked to drive company owned delivery vehicles and deliver or pick-up customer parts.
4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE –
A. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand for long periods of time performing repetitive tasks.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to regularly lift heavy items up to 50 pounds.
Computer literacy required, Excel
Forklift Certification or the ability to be certified through company provided training.
Ability to read, write and follow instructions in English.
